This wood has both lighter and brown tones, which is why the different rings can vary so much. Satin Walnut wood finds its origin in the United States. Satin Walnut is not related to the nuts, like the walnut we know. Besides wood, this tree has another function. The sap is tapped for medicine and cosmetics. The balsam has a strong smell and taste. Its use in medicine for stomach and liver ailments has been around for a long time. However, our rings do not smell. Note: Each ring is handmade, so new rings and or other sizes may differ from the picture.

The Tineo tree has black veins. We used Solid Tineo wood and Tineo wood with a "flame pattern" for the rings. The tree is cut in doses which reveals the natural flame markings. The Tineo tree can reach 30 meters high with an average diameter between 60cm and 100cm. Perhaps also a fun fact: The botanical name is Weinmannia Trichosperma.
